Preparation and Characterization of PEDOT:PSS-PH/CNT Composites for Optoelectronic Applications

Carbon nanomaterials exhibit excellent thermal stability, mechanical properties, and electrical conductivity. However, when dispersed in polymers or solvents, aggregation occurs due to π-π stacking, which diminishes the material properties and device performance. To address this issue, research is actively focused on improving the dispersion stability of carbon nanomaterials by introducing aromatic substances capable of π-π interactions as functional groups or by forming composites with conductive polymers that possess high electrical properties, excellent processability, and structural flexibility. In this study, we introduce pyrene, which can form pi-pi interactions with CNTs, as a functional group into the conductive polymer PEDOT:PSS-PH to secure the dispersion stability of CNTs in PEDOT:PSS and improve the electrical properties. In addition, we study the electrical properties of PEDOT:PSS/CNT and its applicability as an optoelectronic device.
