Incorporating carbon nanotubes (CNTs) into epoxy resin has increasingly been applied across various fields including electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, aerospace, and sensors due to their high-performance mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. However, the inherent tendency of CNTs to aggregate necessitates achieving uniform dispersion within the epoxy matrix, which is crucial for effective nanocomposite applications. This study involves chemically functionalizing CNTs using a modified Hummel’s method, and physically functionalizing them with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) to achieve uniform dispersion. This approach allows for their incorporation into epoxy matrices without a significant increase in viscosity. The resulting CNT/epoxy composites are expected to demonstrate enhanced mechanical strength and electrical conductivity
