All-solid-state lithium batteries (ASSBs) are recognized as strong contenders for next-generation energy storage solutions due to their superior safety and stability. Nevertheless, the limited ion conductivity in polymer-based electrolytes poses significant challenges to their broad implementation. In our research, we delve into incorporating additives into polymer-based electrolytes to boost their ion conductivity and overall performance, aiming to mitigate these challenges and propel the advancement of ASSBs. Our results suggest that adding these additives to polymer-based solid electrolytes effectively produces batteries with enhanced stability and a longer lifespan. Notably, 4-Methylthiophene-2-Carboxylic acid, when pretreated with LiOH, exhibited ionic conductivity nearly 10 times greater than the electrolyte with only PEO at ambient temperature. This demonstrates that our approach can effectively address the issue of low ionic conductivity, a primary limitation of solid electrolytes.
