Blue-emitting metal halide perovskites garnered significant attention for future display technologies. Here, we demonstrate a B-site engingeering method to synthesize blue-emitting perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) using th ligand-assisted reprecipitation (LARP) method at room temperature. We introduced MnBr2 as a dopant during the synthesis of PNCs. The Mn cations are located on the PNC surfaces, preventing the growth and reducing the PNCs size. The decreased PNCs exhibit blue-shifted photoluminescence due to the quantum confinement effect. PNCs also show a gradual blue shift in photoluminescence with increading Mn concentration while maintaining a high photoluminescence quantum yield.
