초록

내용
Phenytoin (PHT) is widely used as an anticonvulsant to treat epilepsy, with a narrow therapeutic range of 10-20 µg/mL. Accurate monitoring of its concentration in the body is necessary to avoid complications from overdose. To ensure precise monitoring of PHT, molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are ideal due to their ability to mimic natural recognition sites and selectively bind specific molecules. This makes MIPs well-suited for sensor applications, offering advantages in cost-effectiveness and ease of fabrication. Among the strategies for preparing MIP-based sensors, the electropolymerization offers precise control over the thickness of MIP films on the electrode surface, requiring minimal reagents. Polypyrrole is a representative conducting polymer known for its high conductivity and hydrophobicity. In this work, pyrrole derivatives with chalconyl groups were used to enhance selectivity and chemical stability, while carboxylic groups were utilized to improve hydrophilic properties for MIP-based electrochemical sensors.
