Recent advances in transient electronics, particularly wireless nerve stimulators, have significantly enhanced functional recovery following peripheral nerve transection injuries without necessitating extraction surgery. However, the efficacy of nerve grafts and the optimal duration of electrical stimulation for maximizing sensorimotor recovery remain underexplored. Here, we present a novel bioresorbable wireless electrical stimulator with processed nerve allografts. Our findings indicate that incorporating nerve grafts across long nerve gaps enhances functional recovery with more successful regeneration than conventional conduit-based systems. Furthermore, 6 days of wireless electrical stimulation achieved the best functional outcomes compared to 1, 3, 9, and 12 days of stimulation. These results demonstrate the higher efficacy of the bioresorbable nerve stimulator and allograft and establish optimal parameters for electrical stimulation-based nerve regeneration.
