In this study, we present a novel approach for the synthesis of versatile metalized DNA nanoparticles, a promising technique for creating tailored metal nanostructures. We utilize rolling circle amplification (RCA) to fabricate DNA nanoparticles by self-assembling multimeric DNA strands. To achieve biocompatibility and high local concentrations, we introduce Au ions into these DNA nanoparticles and induce local reduction to form Au nanoclusters. This RCA-based Au-DNA metallization strategy shows significant potential for developing tailored DNA and metal nanomaterials, paving the way for various applications in nanotechnology and biomedicine.
