Soft triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) show promise for powering wearable devices by converting mechanical motion to electricity. This study presents a highly stretchable TENG using double network ionic hydrogels as electrodes and Ecoflex with high dielectric materials as the triboelectric layer. The TENG generates 2.15 W m−2 power density and maintains functionality under 400% stretching, producing ~100 V at 100% stretch. It can detect body movements, suggesting potential applications in self-powered healthcare monitoring and personal electronics.
