A highly flexible and lightweight electromagnetic interference shielding (EMIS) nanocomposite thin film with enhanced mechanical properties and outstanding folding reliability is developed using a supramolecular multilayered structure. Combining π-π, ionic, and hydrogen bonding interactions inside the multilayers results in robust internal cohesion within the mortars and ensures strong binding between the bricks. This integration leads to well-aligned and firmly bound conductive multilayers. Consequently, the lightweight EMIS thin film with a thickness of 100 μm shows EMIS performance of 42.21 dB in the X-band range. In addition, it exhibits the best-recorded folding reliability, i.e., surpassing 200,000 folding/unfolding cycles, thereby outperforming previously reported foldable EMIS films with thicknesses ranging from 6 to 3000 µm. These remarkable properties are attributed to the unique supramolecular conductive multilayers derived from the complex interactions between the brick-and-mortar components.
