In the heat management technology, the relationship between molecular packing structures and their thermal conductivity properties is significant. In this study, reactive metallomesogens based on porphyrin and dendritic alkyl chains were newly synthesized. A mixture of these metallomesogens and thiol molecules exhibits columnar structures by self-assembly, which were subsequently stabilized via thiol-ene click chemistry. Thermal and scattering analyses revealed that the films formed distinct structures influenced by the type of metal atoms substituted. The phases were influenced by the size of the metals, affecting the planarity of the structures. The film incorporating Zn as the substituent metal demonstrated outstanding thermal conductivity.
