Epoxy-based carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) has high mechanical properties but is costly and difficult to produce. Thermoplastic-based CFRP (CFRTP) is a promising alternative due to easier manufacturing, lower costs, and recyclability. This study introduces a method to improve CFRTP using low molecular weight thermoplastic forming high-MW assemblies via dynamic interactions. A quadruple hydrogen-bonding polyamide (PA-UPy) was synthesized, enhancing tensile and interlaminar properties when applied to CFRTP. This simple and effective process significantly improves CFRTP's mechanical properties.
