In this work, a copolymer responsive to temperature and UV was synthesized and characterized. The final product Poly (N, N-diethylacrylamide Allylamine Coumaric acid) (P (DEAA-AA-CA)) was confirmed to be synthesized by FTIR, 1H-NMR, and UV spectroscopy results. All products exhibited LCST behavior and the LCST values of each product increased first and then decreased in the order of P(DEAA), P (DEAA-AA), and P (DEAA-AA-CA), which is consistent with the DSC results. All products have amphiphilicity, but there was no significant difference in surface tension. In addition, after UV irradiation treatment, the dimerization degree of the final product P (DEAA-AA-CA) increased with increasing irradiation time. This copolymer has the potential to be used for further synthesis of functional biomaterials according to demand.
