A Multifunctional Additive Strategy for High Performance Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes

Halide-based perovskite materials have been spotlighted in light-emitting diodes due to their excellent optical and electrical characteristics. In particular, molecular additives are often introduced to reduce crystal size and suppress grain boundary defects for efficient perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs), thus molecular additives have been widely studied; the majority has insulating properties that hinder charge injection and transport and there have been no systematic studies on how to manipulate crystal growth dynamics, which remains a challenge. Here, we present several types of multifunctional additives in minimal quantities for highly efficient perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs).
