Commercialization of Multi-Module Precision Molds System development for demand responsive Manufacturing Polydioxanone (PDO) Cog-Sutures.

Biodegradable sutures are being commercialized as standardized products using integrated modular molds. However, to date, no study has focused on developing a diverse range of products that provide customized solutions. To address this, we have developed cog sutures made from polydioxanone (PDO) cog-type using perforated precision divided molds which increase surface area enhance the size and strength of barbs, improve tissue retention, and minimize raw material loss, aiming to provide customized solutions for skin tissue regeneration and aesthetic restoration. We optimized the trial production process for the polydioxanone (PDO) cog-type sutures and established mass production methods to develop prototypes. Additionally, we evaluated their stability performance in terms of cytotoxicity, sensitization and irritation testing for commercialization.
