Organic semiconductors can be solubilized and used to fabricate OFET devices on flexible polymer substrates through printing and solution-based processes. However, the dielectric layer, organic semiconductor layer (OSC), and source/drain (S/D) electrodes formed on these flexible substrates are prone to damage and degradation in electrical performance when subjected to mechanical deformation. While significant research has been conducted to improve the inherent flexibility of materials, these approaches are often complex and time-consuming. In this study, we designed a composite substrate with heterogeneous stiffness distribution by locally applying high-strength PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) on a highly stretchable Ecoflex substrate. By combining the advantages of these two materials, we successfully developed OFET devices capable of withstanding tensile strain without compromising their performance.
