The increasing concerns over air pollution and infectious diseases underscore the need for efficient and sustainable respiratory protection. Conventional masks made from synthetic materials contribute to environmental pollution due to their non-biodegradable property. This research investigates the development of an air-filtering mask using biodegradable polymers, aiming to provide effective respiratory protection while minimizing environmental impact. The Lego stamping method is introduced as a novel approach for synthesizing an amphibian air- filtering mask synthesis method. The biodegradability, removal efficiency, pressure drop, reusability, antibacterial ability and mechanical properties of our mask made using the Lego stamping method were evaluated and compared to commercially available N-95 masks. The findings of this research contribute to the advancement of sustainable and environmentally friendly respiratory protection solutions.
