An Innovative Air Filtration System Using Organic/Inorganic Hybrids for Particulate Matter and VOCs Removal

Air pollution poses a significant threat to human health and the environment, necessitating the development of effective air filtration technologies. Organic/inorganic hybrid air filters have emerged as promising candidates due to their superior performance and environmental friendliness. In this study, we present a novel organic/inorganic hybrid air filter composed of spherical sponge particles impregnated with a functionalized inorganic material. The filter exhibits exceptional particulate matter (PM) removal efficiency with minimal pressure drop, making it a promising solution for air purification applications. The filter's design was meticulously optimized to minimize airflow resistance and promote energy-efficient operation.
