The increasing focus on personalized healthcare emphasizes the need for stretchable fiber strain sensors to monitor vital signs and body movements under clothing. Conventional sensors have limitations like narrow sensitivity, low productivity, and poor durability. To address these, we developed a mass-producible strain-sensing fiber using a thermal drawing process, offering high sensitivity across a wide range and excellent durability. Integrated into commercial garments, this fiber accurately measured subtle movements, such as wrist pulses, and complex body movements. Additionally, incorporating AI technology enabled precise behavior analysis without complex backend systems, overcoming challenges faced by wearable devices in real-world applications.
