Self-assembled monolayer (SAM) materials offer a convenient means of manufacturing large-area devices through simple coating methods like spin coating. The doping of Mixed SAMs proves highly beneficial for effectively regulating current levels and implementing physically unclonable functions (PUF) via variations in current levels. In this study, a mixture of octadecyltrichlorosilane (ODTS) and phenyltrichlorosilane (PTS) was doped onto bismuth sulfide. Doping of two distinct SAMs on bismuth sulfide was conducted to create a physically unclonable function leveraging process variation induced. The difference in maximum current level due to process variation was 600 times at 0 V and 200 times at 0.3 V, demonstrating operation as a PUF device.
