For next-generation AR/VR displays, high resolution and superior color purity are crucial. Perovskite nanocrystals (PeNCs) offer a promising alternative due to their high color purity and ease of color tuning. This study investigates the use of quaternary ammonium post-treatment on PeNCs to achieve high-luminance, high-resolution patterns. Conventional ligands often result in background residues and low photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) due to surface defects. We introduced Didodecyldimethylammonium fluoride (DDAF), which ensures stable binding with PeNCs. This treatment enhances PLQY through trap passivation, also leading to high-quality patterns. It demonstrated a twofold increase in color conversion efficiency and improved external quantum efficiency (EQE) in light-emitting diodes. This study highlights the potential of DDAF for high-performance perovskite light-emitting devices.
