PGA (polyglycolic acid) has a high melting point and hardness. Due to these properties, it is subject to hydrolysis, but is water resistant. In this study, PGA was polymerized in particle form to be applied as a solid lubricant. The particle size was within 1 ㎛, and the melting point was at 180°C or higher. It was confirmed that the prepared PGA particles had a layered structure.
