This study focuses on developing environmentally friendly acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) for foldable displays by synthesizing new monomers from citronellol, a terpenoid. These monomers were used in acrylic optically clear adhesives (OCAs), which were polymerized using a visible-light-driven process, a more energy-efficient and less harmful method compared to conventional UV light polymerization. The OCAs produced exhibited low glass transition temperatures, reliable adhesion, and good mechanical properties across various temperatures, indicating their potential for enhancing the sustainability of foldable devices.
