As the danger of global warming worsens, CO₂ reduction reaction(CO₂RR) technology is being developed to eliminate the main culprit, CO₂. CO₂RR utilizes the convenience of carbon adsorption and desorption of Cu in copper wires. In this study, we present a more efficient wire using HKUST-1(Cu)@rGO. HKUST-1 has excellent CO₂ adsorption properties while HKUST-1 itself is non-conductive. However, it can be modified to be conductive by adding graphene oxide to synthesize HKUST-1 on the reduced graphene oxide. Additionally, HKUST-1@rGO has the advantage of having a lower resistance than copper wire due to the constant arrangement of the copper. Using this, we conducted a study to maximize the CO₂RR by passing current through HKUST-1@rGO.
