Miniaturized devices based on microfabrication offer competitive advantages over conventional bio/medical tools for neuroscience applications, such as small size, low cost due to batch fabrication, and high spatiotemporal resolution. Miniaturized devices for neural interface such as neural probes, ECoG devices, and electrochemical sensors, have opened up new means to access signals from our brain and body. This talk will introduce a variety of neural interface devices including their functions, fabrication and packaging methods, and results attained using such devices.
