Organic Semiconductor Materials – A Versatile Platform for Various Applications

Organic semiconductors are composed of low molecular weight, medium molecular weight, and polymeric substances, and extensive research has been conducted on them. They are known to offer various advantages such as mechanical flexibility, low cost, and light weight. The demand for OFETs, OPVs, and OLED displays has increased, and research on organic semiconductor materials will continue. With the ongoing market expansion of these applications, the demand for semiconductors is also expected to rise. In this presentation, the findings related to organic semiconductor materials derived from my research projects will be summarized and presented. In particular, examples of characteristics and structural analyses resulting from the fabrication of nano, micro, and macro structures using polymer organic semiconductors will be explained. Furthermore, examples of organic semiconductors applied to various applications, along with the related research results, will be presented.
