Magic-sized clusters (MSCs) are nanoscale particles with excellent monodispersity and atomic precision. Currently, it is challenging to synthesize non-toxic InP nanocrystals that emit light in the blue wavelength range. According to this perspective, MSCs are intersting in the field of nanotechnology because they have unique optical characteristics. To further tune the optical properties of these MSCs, a gallium cation exchange strategy is implemented. InGaP MSCs have not yet been successfully produced in colloidal form due to the covalent nature of Ga pnictides and their high oxophilicity. To solve this problem, we synthesize InP MSCs with strong thermal stability and investigate gallium cation exchange behavior.
