Fabrication of high-performance PANI aerogel for pressure sensor applications

Electroactive polymer aerogels offer several advantages, including straightforward synthesis, high conductivity, excellent redox behavior, structural robustness, and outstanding mechanical properties. Here, we report an efficient strategy for generating polyaniline (PANI) aerogels with excellent scalability and significantly improved mechanical, electrical, and electrochemical properties. In particular, the manufactured PANI aerogel has excellent piezoelectric properties, making it suitable for use as a pressure sensor application.
