Highly stable inorganic lead halide perovskite nanocrystal composite scintillator film for X-ray imaging

X-ray detection and imaging technology has been rapidly developed for diverse fields since 1895, providing good opportunities to scientific and industrial communities. Recently, lead halide perovskites have been received extensive attention as a X-ray imaging scintillators due to its X-ray sensitivity. However, low environmental stability and light scattering effect in opaque perovskite scintillator film restrict their practical applications for high resolution x-ray imaging. Here, the CsPbBr3 nanocrystals synthesized by new mechano-chemical synthesis method with heat and vacuum are offering a light stability and resistance to ambient conditions. Also, the CsPbBr3 nanocrystals can interacted with functional hydrophobic polymers can providing transparent scintillator films. This strategy not only provides a simple way to synthesis method for all inorganic perovskite nanocrystals but also extends the application of as-prepared CsPbBr3 scintillation film for high resolution X-ray imaging.
