The block copolymers have been exploited to create building blocks that induced hierarchical self-assembly. Especially, the number of compartmentalized micelles can be controlled by the volume ratio and the interaction parameters, permitting the 1D supermicelles. Recently, miktoarm core cross-linked star (CCS) polymers were utilized to supramolecular polymerization via two step polymerization-induced self-assembly (PISA) system. Depending on the cross-linked core volume fraction, spatially restricted growth of the second arm induces linear supramolecular polymerization via the repetitive association between the micelles. However, proving the mechanismand manipulating the supramolecular structure has been challenging. Here, we made a hypothesis that the core volume fraction will influence the number of patches and there will be another transition point at a higher core volume ratio. We will investigate the variation of the core volume fraction and the morphology transition in supramolecular polymerization.
