The self-assembly of colloidal elements into well-ordered nanostructures is of significant interest for their potential use in various technological applications. However, the dynamic and irreversible nature to external stimulus has been a hindrance to the building of ordered nanostructure, which requires precise control over the formation of the nanostructures. In this study, we present a new method for the preparation of highly ordered nanoparticles superlattices through solvent evaporation via O/W microemulsion in a bulk aqueous solution. The QDs and surfactants were formed well-defined nanostructures, as evidenced by the Bragg’s reflection patterns. These patterns corresponded binary nanoparticles superlattices consisted with surfactants assisted QDs and surfactant micelles. The results of this study contribute to the growing body of knowledge on the self-assembly of nanoparticles superlattices and have the potential to inform the development of new materials and technologies.
