Polymer-based photodetectors (PPDs) for the NIR wavelength range sensing have been grown attraction due to their applications such as optical communication and image sensors. In this work, we synthesized four kinds of novel conjugated polymer donors (CPDs) by introducing thiazole based monomer (Tz). Tz monomers were used as an accepting building block of CPDs and the side alkyl chain length of Tz was modified to enhance the miscibility with nonfullerene acceptors (NFAs). The CPD with decyltetradecyl side alkyl chain exhibited the best miscibility with NFAs and showed the most ideal morphological property that can increase the charge transport in the devices. As a result, our PPDs exhibited the superior specific detectivity over 1013 Jones under 810 nm NIR illumination at -1.0 V bias with fast dynamic performance.
