To diminish the emission of CO2 for preventing global warming, Hydrogen(H2) is one of the most promising energy sources that do not generate Carbon substances when we consume Hydrogen. For supplying electrical power to mobility vehicles and compact mobile devices like a drone, Proton exchange membrane Fuel Cell(PEMFC) is getting lots of interest in that they can produce power in an eco-friendly manner. When fabricating the cell, the reinforced composite membrane as a separatory membrane has a critical problem of poor impregnation of the ionomer into the ePTFE scaffold because of its hydrophobicity. So, our group suggests a novel and simple method to increase the hydrophilicity of ePTFE by introducing the Parylene to the ePTFE fibril. Furthermore, we can control the Parylene interface properties, through introducing the hydroxyl group on Parylene at the monomer state.
