The use of quasi-solid-polymer electrolyte(QSPE) has been attracted to construct high-performance rechargeable energy devices. In addition, QSPE system can be the powerful strategy to solve the critical weakness of liquid electrolyte such as flammability and corrosion. Among various polymer materials, epoxy acrylate-based polymer electrolyte possesses superior adhesion to substrate and mechanical rigidness. However, the disadvantages of lower ionic conductivity, and poor external durability must be solved to apply on further improved applications.

Therefore, we suggest high conductive and flexible ion gel polymer electrolyte from hybrid polymer resin including both thermoset epoxide ring function and UV-curable acrylate function with each side in the molecule, called partially acrylated bisphenol A epoxy resin(PABA).

To comprehend the radical polymerization process of polymeric matrices, curing mechanism have been systematically analyzed by structural investigation and DFT simulation.
