A design for evanescent wave light scattering detection

In this study, we presented the evanescent wave light scattering that can detect particle diffusion near the wall. Particles produce different diffusive characteristics near the wall depending on the surface properties of the wall, solvent environments, and so on. The instrument was established to explore the particles that can interact with silica-based surfaces. Here, we demonstrate how we can get the scattering signals in the range of several nanometers between the aqueous media and the silica-based wall.
