Biocatalytic cascade reactions in confined environments are known to be more efficient than open conditions. Colloidal assemblies of mesoporous supraparticles provide the catalysis with an advantageous volume-confined environment. However, the fabrication of the supraparticle assemblies under mild conditions are challenging tasks. We propose a multimodal enzyme and photocatalysis-carrying supraparticle for efficient cascade reactions. The supraparticle of enzyme-loaded nanoparticles was prepared on polydimethylsiloxane brush-grafted surfaces (PDMS) through the surface-templated evaporation driven synthesis without harmful chemical reactions or solvents at ambient condition. Efficient glucose detection was achieved by biocatalyic cascade reactions in the supraparticle that provides multi-enzymes with the proximity in nano-confined channels. In conclusion, the development of our biocatalytic supraparticle can be pioneer works in modern interfacial engineering, bioreactions and cosmetics.
