Vertically Stacked Hybrid Active Channels for Ambipolar Electrochemical Transistors

Herein, we propose electrochemical complementary devices based on vertically stacked organic-inorganic hybrid active channels for ambipolar charge transport. Vertically stacked hybrid channels permit two different modes of transistor operation while the balanced performance parameters are realized at the minimum channel dimension. Finally, the CMOS-like inverter is realized with an inverted point of around 0.4 Vinv, which is half of 0.8 VDD, and a high gain value of >20 due to the balanced charge transport.
