The limited and vacant spaces found in porous materials provide a chance for guest molecules to be selectively adsorbed. Porous polymers have the ability to combine the benefits of both polymers and porous materials, which leads to increasing level of research interest. Here we used liquid crystal to form the mesoporous liquid crystal polymer particles (MLCP), which exhibit good stability peroformance due to their highly crosslinked structure. We used suspension polymerization method using reactive mesogen as a monomer and non-reactive mesogen as a porogen. We developed strategies for obtaining organic-inorganic composite by incorporating inorganic nanoparticles with MLCP. The composites have advantages of offering addtional functionality to host molecules and protecting the inorganic nanoaprticles. furthermore, it is possible to creat MLCP in a film form. These characteristics show that the MLCP's morphology and functionality can be altered based on the application field.
