Synthesis of Organic Semiconducting Materials and Their Applications

Recent advances of organic semiconductors are remarkable as the photoconversion efficiency of organic solar cells approached up to 19% and the detectivity of organic photodetectors were achieved higher than 1012 jones. Still, it is important to use environmentally friendly solvents and processes for the fabrication of the devices and to synthesize low-cost materials for the successful application. Lifetime of device is another problem to be solved. Some of these issues will be briefly discussed in the presentation along with the continuous flow synthesis of the conjugated polymer. Additionally, the Small and Medium Enerprises supporting program using the continuous flow process in KRICT will be briefly introduced.
