In this presentation, we introduce catalytic hydrogenolysis and oxidative degradation methods for upcycling polyethylene. To enhance the liquid and wax yields in hydrogenolysis, we must effectively suppress excessive methane formation. Our results show that the morphology of CeO2 significantly impacts Ru particle size and hydrogen spillover, leading to reduced methane selectivity.
