Polymer nanoparticles containing sunscreen ingredients for UVA and UVB coverage

Most organic sunscreen ingredients are so small that they can penetrate the body through the skin. If these substances remain in the body, they can become potentially toxic substances. We propose a method for encapsulating organic UV-absorbing molecules in polymeric micelles. Nanoparticles(NPs) were prepared using two types of organic UV absorbing molecules so that the NP significantly absorbs both UVA and UVB. Moreover, it is expected that the UV-absorbing small molecules can be prevented from being directly exposed to the skin. Furthermore, the NPs are less harmful to environmental resources because Pluronic F127 is an FDA-approved substance thorough examination.
