Photothermal therapy (PTT) is a technique that converts light into heat energy to treat cancer, and it is an invasive and effective treatment. MXene has been intensively attracted in the field of PTT due to its excellent photothermal properties. However, MXene is unstable in aqueous environments, because its function groups are easy to oxidation. In this work, MXene loaded Hyaluronic acid - Poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (HA-PLGA) nanoparticles were prepared by a dual solvent evaporation method for PTT and drug delivery system. The spherical MXene NPs were assessed through TEM. When the NPs were exposed to NIR laser, we were confirmed that the temperature was applicable to PTT. Through the release test, we were also confirmed that the NPs stably release the drug. Cellular uptake and cell viability test was performed to confirm that NPs have excellent intracellular absorption and can reduce the viability of cancer cells. This work revealed the feasibility of PTT and drug delivery system.
