The antibacterial mechanism of graphene-based materials has been known as physical damage caused by direct contact between the sharp edges of graphene and the bacterial membrane, and chemical interactions by charge transfer and ROS generation. In this study, we suggest a viable route to develop bacterial filtration materials as a simple manufacturing process. 3D-arranged GO films were crafted with various wrinkled geometries using a shrinkable SMP substrate and were derived antibacterial activity from the physical damage to the bacteria cell membranes, renders the cell incapacitating in constraint contact with 3D wrinkled GO films. For practical use, the antibacterial film was installed inside the humidifier as a small-scale module, and its improved antibacterial properties. Therefore, the proposed concept of an antibacterial system is expected to improve the health and quality of daily life based on its excellent antibacterial properties.
