In this research, we propose materials for electrodes, active channels, passivation/insulators and substrates which constitute eco-friendly electronics. For this purpose, cellulose and clay were combined with existing electronic materials to induce either microbial decomposition and/or insect eating, leading to facile elemental recycling with minimal environmental pollution issues. Furthermore, highly conductive silver inks, conductive polymer composite-based actives, and bioglass-based passivation layer were demonstrated.
