In the past few decades, nanomedicine development has solved many medical problems related to the aging era. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has attracted attention due to its low side effect, non-invasive, and relatively high therapeutic efficacy in the biomedical field of cancer treatment. In addition, injectable hydrogels as a therapeutic strategy have gained tremendous interest in the on-demand localized drug delivery and tissue engineering field. In this study, we developed a poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PN)-based injectable hydrogel with a reactive oxygen species (ROS)-cleavable crosslinker and Ce6 as a photosensitizer by photopolymerization method for localized cancer treatment. Their physicochemical properties and in vitro cell viability were evaluated.
