Flexible pressure sensors have been extensively researched for applications to the human-machine interface, soft robotics, and health monitoring. Among the various conductive materials used for an electrode in the pressure sensor, liquid metal has received massive attention due to its outstanding deformability and conductivity. In this work, we prepared conductive fiber composed of liquid metal/elastic polymer composite with core–shell structure, which can be fabricated by a simple and continuous process. By exploiting the difference of electrical properties depending on the concentration and size of liquid metal filled in the composite, core-shell fiber with a highly conductive core and insulating shell part with high dielectric constant was prepared successfully. For the application to smart textile, we demonstrated the flexible capacitive pressure sensor array with high sensitivity, skin-breathability, and wearability.
