Recently The tertiary system based bulk hetero junction organic solar cell (BHJ-OSC) has been the center of many studies, realizing a high efficiency of 18-19%. This achievement was contributed to the development of donors and acceptors molecules with excellent optoelectronic properties, but also due to the additives that help construct charge transfer paths by improving the morphology of donors and acceptors. The most widely used solvent additives, 1-CN can provide precise morphology control by selective solubility between donor and acceptor. However, it is limited to regulate micro morphology affected by self-assembly using solvent additives. In this work introduced solid-solvent hybrid additives consisting of 1-CN as solvent additives and precisely designed 3D star shaped solid additives (Star-A and Star-F). Using this synergetic hybrid additives, the macro and micro morphology of the active layer was enhanced, which led to higher fill factor (FF) and open circuit voltage (VOC).
