Thermally Regenerative Electrochemical Cycle (TREC) is operated via two combined mechanism containing electrochemical charge/discharge steps and temperature change. From this principle, the battery is discharged in higher voltage than that of charging voltage, which implies that additional electrical work can be achieved simply by temperature change. Most of researches about TREC are conducted under the aqueous electrolyte system and mostly operated under the hard, and stiff template. It makes TREC difficult to apply to various form of heat source. Herein, the adaptaion of hydrogel electrolyte for TREC is studied in order to apply to diverse heat source and simplify the fabrication of cell. PBAs are used as active materials and cathode electrode is composed of simply fabricated hydrogel template. Through gel type cell system, TREC is operated and the possibility of collecting low grade heat energy is studied. As a result, this research offer the way to apply the TREC to more general area.
