Polymer microparticles have been widely used in research and industrial fields such as medical devices. Polymer microparticles can be manufactured by various preparation techniques, however most of them require complicated processes. In this study, we present the polymer microparticle fabrication method in large-scale with micro-wetting pattern. The micro-wetting pattern consists of hydrophilic part and hydrophobic part. In the polymer microparticle fabrication process, the micro-wetting pattern surfaces are dipped into polymer solution and forms microarray of polymer on the hydrophilic part of the substrate and modified by annealing process. Herein, polymer microparticles have been fabricated by evaporation driven polymer particle synthesis method and collected for demonstration. Furthermore, various kind of polymer microparticles including additives can be fabricated by this method and it will offer inspiring potential for designing polymer particle.
