Perovskite solar cells are regarded as promising flexible next-generation solar cells due to their excellent power conversion efficiency (PCE) and flexibility. PCE performance is mostly reported for a small-scale fabrication using a lab-scale spin coating process. For the commercialization of flexible solar cells, perovskite solar cells should be fabricated using the roll-to-roll process consisting of coating, drying, and annealing. Homogeneous perovskite layers can be obtained by controlling crystallization kinetics. In this presentation, we will discuss the effect of coating methods and ink on the surface morphology and electrical properties of perovskite solar cells fabricated with the roll to roll process. In particular, we will focus on an anti-solvent method compatible with the R2R process, and present the critical factors for forming a uniform perovskite layer. In addition, a new solvent ink system will be suggested for roll-to-roll coated PSCs.
