A separator is an essential material for a secondary battery. In order to produce a separator, a process of stretching the raw material at a high temperature is required. In this process, the raw material experiences a very large deformation. Digital Image Correlation (DIC) technique was used to analyze a high-temperature tensile test. Tensile behavior is highly temperature dependent. Since uniform elongation was observed during tensile tests, the hardening behavior without plastic instability was analyzed. When stretched, the material contracts or expands depending on the temperature. The results will be implemented in Simulation.
